Cyber Wellness
The MOE Cyber Wellness Framework guides the school in planning for our cyber wellness programme.
The Framework focuses on developing the child’s instinct to protect himself and empower him to take responsibility for his own well-being in cyberspace. Thus, this framework highlights three principles to guide students in their actions, describes a 3-step process to explore cyber wellness issues and encourages schools to partner parents in promoting cyber wellness among students.
Our cyber wellness (CW) curriculum focuses on three main principles:
- Respect for self and others.
- Safe and responsible use of internet.
- Positive peer influence online.
Our CW education:
- CW topics and lessons are delivered as part of the CCE curriculum.
- Special assembly programs by various external companies where they gain insightful knowledge with regards to CW.
Our Cyber Wellness Ambassadors (CWAs):
Cyber Wellness Ambassadors (CWAs), as part of the class leaders,
- Undergo in-house 2-day training workshop conducted yearly to learn useful tips on how to influence their peers positively online.
- Go through specialty trainings by external industrial companies to reinforce the awareness on cyber wellness in real-world context.
- Are given opportunities to organise the Annual Cyber Wellness Week for the school to engage fellow schoolmates on positive CW habits to develop their leadership skills.
- Are given opportunities to represent the school in National CW events such as:
- Minecraft: Education Edition Cyber Wellness Challenge sponsored by Microsoft Singapore,
- West Zone Cyber Wellness Ambassadors Workshop.
